Terms of Service

1.1 Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Sathi - the journaling companion - is available only from age 16, with a separate consent. In some jurisdictions users under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent to use paid features. We check age from the birth date on your profile, and we refuse or close accounts that fall below these floors. By using our Services, you represent that you meet them.

1.2 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account providing:

• Accurate and complete information
• A valid email address (a phone number is optional)
• Precise birth details (date, time, location) for astrological calculations
• Current location for real-time cosmic insights

1.3 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Ensuring your account information remains current and accurate

1.4 Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or harm other users or our Services.

2.1 What We Provide

Our Services include:

• Personalized astrological readings based on Vedic astrology principles
• AI-powered cosmic insights and interpretations
• Daily, monthly, and yearly forecasts
• Compatibility analyses
• Life timing recommendations (Mahadasha/Antardasha periods)
• Chakra analyses and spiritual guidance
• Sathi, a reflective journaling companion that - with your separate consent - remembers your sessions and reads patterns against your chart
• Token-based access to paid features (see Section 4)

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

3.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services
• Use automated systems or software to extract data (scraping)
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software
• Share your account with others or create multiple accounts
• Use the Services for commercial purposes without authorization
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload malicious code or viruses

3.2 User Content

For content you submit (including journal entries, feedback, or communications), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content solely for providing and improving our Services.

3.3 Enforcement

Violation of these conduct rules may result in immediate termination of your account and potential legal action.

4.1 Plans and Tokens

Paid features - Sathi sessions, journal analysis and premium readings - run on tokens. Each use costs a stated number of tokens (for example one token per Sathi turn), shown before you spend it, and your balance is always visible in the app.

Prices are in USD and are the ones shown at checkout; the figures above are current at this version of the Terms and may change with 30 days' notice (Section 4.2).

4.2 How Tokens Work

• Tokens are valid for 365 days from the day they are granted, except welcome tokens (30 days). Unused tokens expire at the end of their validity; we tell you before they do.
• Tokens are spent oldest-first, are tied to your account, and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash. They are a licence to use features, not money or property.
• Purchased and subscription tokens are not refunded once spent. Unspent tokens are refunded only where Section 4.4 or the law requires it.
• If a feature fails on our side after charging you, we return the tokens.
• We may change token costs per feature with 30 days' notice; the cost shown at the moment you use a feature is the one that applies.

4.3 Billing and Renewal

• Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details. Applicable taxes are added at checkout.
• A Seeker subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you switch renewal off. You do this in Settings → Billing - you never need to contact Stripe or us.
• We send a renewal notice before every renewal: 7 days before a monthly renewal and 30 days before an annual one, showing the amount and date and a link to change your mind.
• If you switch renewal off, your plan stays fully active until the end of the paid period, and the tokens already granted keep their normal validity. You can switch it back on any time before the period ends.
• If a renewal payment fails, we retry and tell you; if it cannot be collected the subscription ends at the period end and you return to Free.
• Price changes take effect at your next renewal after at least 30 days' notice, so you always have a renewal notice at the new price before being charged it.

4.4 Refunds

First-time Seeker subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of the first payment, provided fewer than 10 tokens have been spent. Token packs and reports are delivered immediately and are not refundable once tokens are spent or the report is generated. Beyond this, refunds are given only where the law requires or, in exceptional circumstances, at our discretion. Refunds are made to the original payment method.

4.5 Ending Your Subscription

Switching renewal off in Settings ends the subscription at the close of the current period; nothing further is charged. Deleting your account ends it immediately and forfeits any remaining tokens.

5.1 Our Property

All content, features, and functionality of our Services, including but not limited to:

• Software, algorithms, and source code
• Text, graphics, logos, and images
• Astrological interpretations and methodologies
• User interface designs and layouts
• Audio and video content

are owned by AstraFlow or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use our Services for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

5.3 Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works
• Distribute, sublicense, or sell our content
• Use our content for commercial purposes
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices

6.1 Data Collection

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

6.2 Birth Data Usage

Your birth details (date, time, location) are essential for generating accurate astrological readings. This data is:

• Used solely for astrological calculations
• Anonymized when sent to AI services
• Never sold to third parties
• Protected with industry-standard encryption

6.3 AI Processing

We use AI models (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) to enhance insights. Only anonymized cosmic coordinates are shared with these services—never your personal identifiers.

7.1 Entertainment & Spiritual Guidance

7.1a Sathi

Sathi is an AI journaling companion. It listens, reflects and asks questions. It is not a therapist, counsellor, doctor or crisis service, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and its replies can be inaccurate, incomplete or simply wrong. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line; Sathi will point you to human help and stop.

What you write stays yours. With Sathi memory on (a separate consent you control in Settings → Privacy) we keep your sessions and derived insights as the Privacy Policy describes; you can turn it off at any time and we remove that data within 30 days. Use Sathi for reflection, not as the basis for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.

7.2 No Professional Advice

Nothing in our Services constitutes:

• Medical or health advice
• Psychological or psychiatric treatment
• Financial or investment recommendations
• Legal advice or counsel
• Guaranteed predictions or outcomes

7.3 AI Limitations

AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or subjective. Users should exercise judgment and critical thinking when interpreting insights.

7.4 Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or content linked from our Services.

8.1 No Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8.2 Limitation of Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASTRAFLOW SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits or revenue
• Loss of data or information
• Business interruption
• Personal injury or emotional distress
• Decisions made based on our Services

8.3 Maximum Liability

Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AstraFlow, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your access to or use of the Services
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any content you submit or share through the Services
• Any harmful or unlawful conduct

10.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at legal@astraflow.app to attempt informal resolution. Most disputes can be resolved this way.

10.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.1 Electronic Communications

By using our Services, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including:

• Service announcements and updates
• Account notifications
• Marketing messages (with separate consent)
• Daily insights (Premium users)

11.2 Communication Channels

We may communicate via:

• Email to your registered address
• SMS to your registered phone number
• WhatsApp (Premium users who opt-in)
• In-app notifications
• Telegram (if connected)

11.3 Opt-Out Rights

You may opt-out of non-essential communications at any time through your account settings or by clicking unsubscribe links. Transactional communications cannot be opted out of while maintaining an account.

12.1 Right to Modify

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via:

• Email notification to registered users
• Prominent notice on our website
• In-app notifications

12.2 Acceptance of Changes

Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you must stop using our Services and may close your account.

12.3 Notice Period

For material changes, we provide 30 days notice before changes take effect, unless required sooner by law or urgent circumstances.

13.1 Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy (we confirm by email before removing anything) or by contacting support. Upon termination:

• Access to Services ceases immediately
• Any subscription ends immediately and is not charged again
• Remaining tokens are forfeited; no refund for unused subscription time or tokens except as Section 4.4 or the law provides
• Data deletion per our Privacy Policy, within 30 days

13.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Non-payment of fees
• Prolonged inactivity (2+ years)
• Harm to other users or our Services

13.3 Effects of Termination

Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect, including intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution clauses.

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and AstraFlow.

15.2 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

15.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights to any successor or acquirer.

15.5 Force Majeure

We're not liable for delays or failures due to causes beyond our reasonable control.
