The Emotional Field

Two moons at the center — the one you were born under, and the one moving now — stirring the emotional waves.
A chart is a framework, not a fate. The 12 houses divide life into areas of lesson and desire; the soul, like an atom, is drawn to complete its octet. Every meeting stirs the mixture — thoughtrons, positive and negative — and their residue is karma. Find your pattern, act on it through love and knowledge, and the return home comes faster: the ground state, Sat‑Chit‑Ānanda.

The field, in text

Everything the interactive map shows, readable here — the story, the terrain, the nine powers, and all twenty-seven emotional areas.

The story of the field

I · the still point

You were born under one Moon. It is your emotional home — the ground note beneath every feeling you'll ever have.

II · the stirring

Then life begins to move. A second Moon crosses your sky, and the still water starts to wave. This is feeling, arriving.

III · the pull

Every few hours it enters a new star — and each one pulls you a different way. Toward longing, grief, delight, fear. A heart tugged by everything. This is being human.

IV · the terrain

And the field has a map. Twelve houses divide life into areas of lesson and desire — some grow the more you work them, some flow with grace, three are crucibles that break you open only to remake you. And the twelfth — the letting‑go — sits closest to home. This terrain is not your fate. It is your curriculum.

V · the crowding

At the top of the field stands the Sun — the pure soul. But look: it is never alone. Venus and Mercury crowd close, desire and cleverness, always at its side. So the light first shines through wanting — and calls itself 'I'. This is ego: the soul, crowded. Not yet free.

VI · the field at work

The rest of the field labors to free it. Mars lends the courage to turn inward — unheeded, it sours into anger. Saturn weighs every act and teaches the slow discipline home. Jupiter is the gentle hand toward what is real. Rahu feeds the hunger until you finally see through the mirage — and Ketu loosens the grip, handing all you've learned back to the world.

VII · the turn

Every meeting, every situation stirs the mixture — thoughtrons, positive and negative — and what they leave behind is karma. Until one day the wave does what no wave has done: it looks at itself. Not fighting the turbulence. Watching it, with love and with knowledge. And everything begins to settle.

VIII · the return

The thoughtron completes its octet. The crowding thins; the restless self comes home — not somewhere new, but exactly where it always was. Being. Knowing. Peace. Held in love, seen with knowledge — unaffected at the center. This is Sat‑Chit‑Ānanda.

The 12 houses — the terrain

House 1Self · body · vitality

The lesson or desire: to simply be. Where everything begins — the 'I am' the whole field flows from. Both a pillar and a house of grace.

House 2Wealth · values · voice · family

The lesson or desire: security. What you gather and treasure — money, words, the people at your table. The desire for security lives here.

House 3Courage · effort · skill · siblings

The lesson or desire: to act, to become able. A GROWING house — it improves the more you try. Here your willpower compounds; practice becomes power.

House 4Home · heart · roots · peace

The lesson or desire: belonging, peace. The seat of the heart — where you feel rooted and safe. A pillar of the chart; your emotional home.

House 5Creativity · children · joy · past-merit

The lesson or desire: to create, to delight. A house of fortune — what you earned before flowers here as creativity, delight, and blessing.

House 6Debt · service · daily work · overcoming

The lesson or desire: to overcome. A crucible that is ALSO a growing house — the one difficulty you can genuinely work through. Debt paid by service; struggle that becomes strength.

House 7Partnership · the other · union

The lesson or desire: union. The other half — union, marriage, the mirror of relationship. A pillar; where you meet what isn't you.

House 8Transformation · depth · the hidden

The lesson or desire: to be transformed. A crucible of metamorphosis — the depths that break and rebuild you. Not misfortune: the death-and-rebirth that matures the soul.

House 9Dharma · fortune · meaning · guru

The lesson or desire: meaning, the sacred. The most fortunate house — faith, dharma, the teacher, the wider view. Where life flows with grace.

House 10Career · action · purpose · standing

The lesson or desire: purpose, to contribute. A pillar AND a growing house — your contribution, built by effort over time. Purpose made visible.

House 11Gains · hopes · community · aspirations

The lesson or desire: to gain, to belong to many. A growing house of gains — hopes met, circle widened. Here effort pays; but watch the never-enough, the wanting that outruns the having.

House 12Letting go · rest · solitude · liberation

The lesson or desire: to be free, to come home. The crucible of surrender — loss, solitude, the loosening of grip. The moksha house: closest to home, the doorway to freedom. Letting go is the return.

The nine soul-powers

Sunthe pure soul — Ātma

The soul's own light, the 'I am' beneath every role. But it is never seen alone — Venus and Mercury crowd close, so the light first shines through wanting, and calls itself 'I'.

When it runs you: Ego — the soul performing. Crowded by desire and cleverness, it defends an 'I' built from what it wants and what it can justify.

When it ripens: The Sun asks you to stop performing and simply be — the light that needs no applause. Freed of the crowding, it returns you to your own center.

Venusthe heart's love — prema

How you love, relate, and find beauty — standing forever at the Sun's side.

When it runs you: Outer gratification — pleasure chased for its own sake, love that grasps and consumes, beauty used to fill a hole it cannot fill.

When it ripens: Ripened, Venus loves without grasping — enjoying and offering beauty freely. It completes you by turning craving into devotion.

Mercurydiscerning intellect — buddhi

How you think, discern and communicate — the Sun's other constant companion.

When it runs you: Self‑serving cleverness — the mind spinning stories to justify what desire already chose, serving the ego it stands beside.

When it ripens: Ripened, Mercury sees clearly instead of spinning — the mind in service of truth. It completes you by turning cleverness into insight.

Moonthe feeling mind — maan

Maan — the sense‑mind. How you feel, receive and remember; your emotional water.

When it runs you: Out of control, the maan lives through the senses — grasping, restless, wanting to control what it touches. This is the wave that will not settle.

When it ripens: Ripened, the Moon feels fully without drowning — emotion moving like tides, not running the ship. It completes you by turning depth into wisdom.

Ketuliberation — mokṣa

What you've already mastered, and what you're here to release — sitting opposite Rahu, the other end of the axis of desire.

When it runs you: Detachment gone cold — withdrawal, disconnection, renouncing the world without having digested it.

When it ripens: Ripened, Ketu is detachment from the delusion itself — and the gathering of everything you've learned, handed back for the larger good. It completes you by loosening the last grip.

Marsthe will — prāṇa

Your drive, your courage, the fire that acts.

When it runs you: Unactuated, the fire has nowhere to go — it turns into anger, irritation, blame. Will without direction burns whatever is nearest.

When it ripens: Actuated, Mars is the courage and will to move toward the center. It completes you by turning raw heat into the strength that walks inward.

Jupiterwisdom & grace — guru

Your faith, meaning and expansion; the inner teacher.

When it runs you: Ignored, the gentle touch feels like emptiness — a life that expands in every direction except the one that matters.

When it ripens: Jupiter is always the gentle hand toward reality — never forcing, always inviting. It completes you by opening the heart to something larger than itself.

Saturndiscipline & time — Shani

What you carry, endure and build; the lord of time — and the judge of what you do.

When it runs you: Felt as weight — delay, pressure, the slow bill for every wrongdoing arriving on time.

When it ripens: Ripened, Saturn is the discipline that walks you, step by slow step, toward the real soul. It completes you by burning away the false self, leaving only what's true.

Rahudesire — the seeing‑through

Your hunger, obsession, and the illusion you're here to see through — opposite Ketu on the axis of desire.

When it runs you: The eagerness for more — delusion feeding on delusion, a hunger that grows by what it eats and never fills.

When it ripens: Ripened, Rahu shows you the mirage so completely that you see through it. It completes you by revealing what you were really hungry for.
